The below is an excerpt from another conversation but it is plausible enough I wanted to share the theory with everyone...


Based on the videos we know that the event hit the east coast first, then moved west across the country, not at the speed of light, but awful friggin fast. This speaks specifically to an area of effect, or for loss of a better term, we will call it our fallout zone. To me this would mean that the body causing the event was traveling easterly to westerly, probably in a Molniya type orbit.

What is interesting about this specific orbital type is that any body which has a Molniya orbit of the Earth would pass through the Van Allen Belt.

The VA Belt is a HUGE source of radiation and, not suprisingly, when the US conducted the Starfish Prime test in 1962 a significant number of satelites were damaged or outright fried. Now what do you suppose would occur if one were to set off a 'directional' nuclear explosion, or series of explosions, inside the Van Allen Belt and pointed back at the surface of the earth.....like the kind generated by all those X-Ray lasers we have up in the Star Wars defense net right now?

Currently the only two countries that really have the ability to deploy multiple orbital platforms with magnetic flux compression generators or x-ray laser generators are the US and [believe it or not] India. China and North Korea are working on energy weapons, but are not at the level that they could cause a global outage yet.

Um, Ranger, not to sound like too much of a noob, but why do you think the effect wasn't ubiquitous and simultaneous? I watched the episodes all together and likely haven't digested the finer details but I didn't get the feeling it spread like a wave.

Um, Ranger, not to sound like too much of a noob, but why do you think the effect wasn't ubiquitous and simultaneous? I watched the episodes all together and likely haven't digested the finer details but I didn't get the feeling it spread like a wave.

I should qualify that Zero; it should read "Based on the videos and the journal". Day 17 in the Journal speaks specifically to a wave effect as opposed to everything happening all at once.

maybe it was some kind ofe special nuke that was made to lock on to people magnetic make up and the ones that are alive make up is different or maybe im just stoned

Well think: this is Sci-fi, and with the right words the creators could make this whole series a little girl's dream if they wanted, so living matter becoming plasma could work, think about all the Marvel comics, spiderman, Fantastic four, none of that could actually happen but the guys at marvel put together some ideas and formatted it into something

Another thing that had come to mind (and I want to get it out there before I forget) is the rain. 14 days? Well maybe these people did become something in the atmosphere and like clouds when they take to much evaporation or whatever they let it go, so maybe this two week rain wasn't rain but the "essance" of the people lost, wasn't it said there was all sorts of things found in the rain puddle? Well if someone with AIDS for example was taken, then "rained out" their AIDS infested blood would be in the puddles and if it got into an open wound would it not infect the person? But again I'm not completley sure, I don't study AIDS or know much about it. But I hope I'm not babbaling.

You're not babbeling. I am currently researching how matter could be converted to plasma as it would tie in with my theory
